There are a few actions that the Initiator/Content Owner can make while the document is in-review within the More Actions menu.
Actions that maintain the review state
While a job is in review, the following actions can be taken without affecting the status or version:
- Edit target approval* — Allows users to update the overall Target Approval Date metadata for a job. This date is independent of step-level due dates, unless the target approval approach is used for the step-level due date configuration (not common).
- Get URL — Generates a publicly accessible link to the document, enabling it to be shared with individuals who do not have a Vodori account.
- Send reminders —Triggers manual email notifications to assigned reviewers to "nudge" them to complete their pending tasks.
- Manage collaborators — Enables the addition or removal of users assigned as collaborators, allowing them to edit document details or withdraw the document for edits while it remains in review.
- Change properties — Allows authorized users to update select document metadata as authorized by the organization directly on the latest version without initiating a new review cycle or version increment.
* Note the label may vary based on your organization
To use one of these actions, open the document in the Viewer and click the More Actions button in the lower right. Please note that the availability of one of these actions is based on your permissions.
Actions that end the review state
When a document is in review, a job Initiator, Content Owner, Collaborators, and Coordinators can temporarily withdraw the document from the review state and edit it.
- Cancel Job — Allows users to cancel a job, whether or not votes have been cast. This action affects the document's current status and minor version.
- Edit —Allows users to withdraw the job from the review process to apply required changes. The job will proceed as if the document received a vote outcome of Amend and Resubmit. In other words, the job will go through another circulation and the document’s minor version number will increase. This action affects the document's current status and minor version.
