To move an annotation to a different place on a document, do the following:
- Select the annotation you’d like to move.
- In the side panel, click the ellipse icon.
- Select “Move annotation.”
- Pepper Flow will clear the existing annotation on the document. Click where you’d like to place a new annotation dot, or select a drawing tool and draw a new annotation.
- Alternatively, click “convert to a general annotation” in the info message.
- Alternatively, click “convert to a general annotation” in the info message.
Once you’ve placed a dot or re-drawn a drawing, it will automatically be linked to the annotation.
Tips
- If you’d like to place a general annotation on a document, follow the process outlined above. This is useful when you import annotations to a new version, but Pepper Flow doesn’t know where to place them.
- You can only move annotations in the following scenarios, while a job is in progress:
- If you created the original annotation
- If you’re a coordinator
- If you’re a content owner, collaborator, or initiator, and the job is in preparation
- For new highlight or strikethrough annotations, we normally pull in the text you select on the document. However, if you move a highlight or strikethrough annotation, we do not automatically update this text.
- You can move annotations on videos, too. After selecting the move option, press the play button on the video player, or click through the timeline to find the new location. Click to place a dot, or select a drawing tool and redraw the annotation.
