Add an annotation
To add an annotation on a web page, open the extension on a web page with a job in progress.
- Navigate to the "Annotations" tab.
- Select "Add annotation to page" at the bottom of the panel.
- Hover over the page to select the area you’d like to annotate on. The extension will highlight the element of the web page that you’re attaching your annotation to. This is good to know on responsive pages, where an element may move depending on screen size, or in cases where content is edited after reviewers weigh in.
- After you click to select an element, an annotation box will appear in the side panel. Type in your comment in the text area.
- If you need to add a supporting document, click the link icon.
- When you’re done, click "Add annotation".
Adding a general annotation works similarly. Instead of clicking "Add annotation to page", click "Add general annotation", located at the top of the panel. Then add text and/or supporting documents as you normally would.
Reply to an annotation
- Click an annotation in the side panel.
- Once the annotation is in its active state, click "Reply".
- Type your reply.
- Click "Leave Reply".
Edit an annotation
- Click an annotation in the side panel.
- Once the annotation is in its active state, click the … icon that appears in the top right.
- In the dropdown, select "Edit".
- Update your text as needed.
- Click "Update comment".
Delete an annotation
- Click an annotation in the side panel.
- Once the annotation is in its active state, click the … icon that appears in the top right.
- In the dropdown, select "Delete".
- In the overlay that appears, select "Delete".
Change annotation color
- Click an annotation in the side panel to activate it. If you’re in the process of adding a new annotation, your annotation should already be active.
- Click the colored circle in the top right of the annotation box.
- Select the color you’d like.
Note: You can only change colors for non-supporting document annotations. Annotations with a supporting document will always appear in white with a dark blue outline and text.
