New and Updated Features
Jobs Board Improvements
We updated the Jobs board to help make finding jobs easier.
Faster Load Times
We improved the way we retrieve the jobs board data, resulting in faster load times.
New Quick Filters
You can now filter by jobs initiated by you. We also introduced new quick filters to help you find jobs for which you’re a content owner or a collaborator, which you’ll find next to the previously existing “Assigned to me” filter.
Updated Expanded Filters
As part of the changes we made to load jobs faster, we updated the “All filters” panel. Instead of seeing filters configured per your company, you will see a standard set of filters. These include time-based filters, such as overdue jobs, along with filters for document type, region, and content owner.
Bonus: Job Search
We added the ability to search the Jobs board by document name or ID. As you type in the search bar, the list of visible cards will narrow.
We made a few updates to the new Insights dashboards. If you do not have access to the new Insights dashboards, these changes will not affect you.
In addition to using filters to specify which data you would like to see, we can also configure parameters. Parameters are high-level criteria that apply to all charts on a dashboard (e.g. region: North America, South America, etc). Filters help narrow the visible data after you select parameters, and filter options can vary depending on parameters selected (e.g., if you select region: North America as a parameter, available filters for country would include Canada, but not France).
Parameters appear in the interface using similar form fields, such as multi-select dropdowns and checkboxes, to the ones you see throughout Pepper Flow.
New Insights Role
You can now assign permissions for Insights with more nuance. Choose whether someone should have access to legacy reports only, or access to both the legacy reports and the new Insights dashboards. Users who don’t have either role will continue to have access to the document details report.
We can now configure the labels for the tabs that appear above the dashboards.
Updates to Properties
Job Completion Date
We can now configure Details to display the job completion date. The property will not be visible until the job is complete.
Calculate Date Properties
Through configuration, we can now set a document date property based on another document or job property when a job is started or completed.
For example, one way this can be used is to set different expiration dates by product: Any documents created for product A should expire one year after their job is complete. Documents for product B should expire two years after their job is complete.
We can now add an approval ID to Details. An approval ID is a unique identifier that is generated after all reviewers approve a document. Similar to a document ID, it can contain document properties like region and product. It can also contain the final approval date and/or a randomly generated set of 10 characters or numbers.
We fixed an edge case where a document expiration date could not be set when the prior version was pending FDA submission.
